Michelle Silvers
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of New South Wales majoring in Economics.
Michelle has been involved in litigation funding since 1997 when she developed the product for a leading insurance company.
In addition to her funding roles, Michelle has had 20 years experience as a practising lawyer in the areas of commercial and insurance law. Michelle was employed for a number of years with Phillips Fox conducting professional indemnity insurance defence litigation, for lawyers and accountants. She was also Claims Manager for Law Cover, the professional indemnity insurer for lawyers in NSW.
For 10 years, she has successfully operated Litigation Lending Services and each of the existing LLS Partnerships and is now Managing Director of Litigation Lending Services Limited. Michelle is also a member of the Management Advisory Committee.
Lisa Brentnall
Litigation Manager
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University and a Diploma of Law and was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 1998. Since this time, Lisa has acted for both plaintiffs and defendants in a range of insolvency and general commercial litigation matters.
Lisa was employed as an Associate Solicitor at Kemp Strang Lawyers, Sydney until she joined Litigation Lending Services in January 2006 as the Litigation Manager.
Kim May
Litigation Manager
Kim holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New South Wales and is admitted to practice as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia.
Prior to joining Litigation Lending Services in 2009, Kim worked in insurance litigation, in areas including third party claims, contractual disputes, risk management and general advice. Kim has also acted for insurers in a large class action.
