Michelle Silvers
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of New South Wales majoring in Economics.
Michelle has been involved in litigation funding since 1997 when she developed the product for a leading insurance company.
In addition to her funding roles, Michelle has had 20 years experience as a practising lawyer in the areas of commercial and insurance law. Michelle was employed for a number of years with Phillips Fox conducting professional indemnity insurance defence litigation, for lawyers and accountants. She was also Claims Manager for Law Cover, the professional indemnity insurer for lawyers in NSW.
For 10 years, she has successfully operated Litigation Lending Services and each of the existing LLS Partnerships and is now Managing Director of Litigation Lending Services Limited. Michelle is also a member of the Management Advisory Committee.
Shaun Bonett
Chairman and Non-Executive Director
Shaun Bonett attended the University of Adelaide where he completed a Bachelor of Arts (Major in Jurisprudence), Bachelor of Law and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Shaun commenced his employment in the legal profession in the early 1990's at Thomson Simmons Lawyers before joining Phillips Fox in 1996. During this time he held corporate advisory roles in the commercial, property and taxation sectors.
Shaun founded the Precision Group in 1994 and is the CEO of the business. The Precision Group is a privately owned investment company focused on the purchase, development, expansion and finance of commercial property as medium to long-term investment holdings, particularly in the retail, commercial office and hospitality sectors.
Precision's interests have been diversified into property lending with the establishment of Lenders Direct, a financier that is focussed on providing investors and developers with first mortgage, mezzanine and bridging finance for property projects. Precision also has participated in a number of private equity transactions.
Geoffrey Tauber
Non-Executive Director
Geoffrey Tauber holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Major in Psychology) from Melbourne University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Latrobe University.
Through Geoffrey’s careful direction, his family’s business, Playcorp, became the largest wholesale toy company in Australia before being sold to the Coles Group at which time Geoffrey became the investment manager for his family’s private group of companies.
In 2002, having assisted the Precision Group in various financing structures for its projects over previous years, Geoffrey Tauber was appointed Executive Chairman. With extremely strong business credentials accrued over many years, Geoffrey works alongside Precision Group CEO Shaun Bonett in the development of the strategic direction for the Precision Group.
Geoffrey has more than 20 years expertise in property finance and direct involvement in mezzanine funding negotiations and is largely responsible for sourcing and securing appropriate finance transactions through the Precision Group’s Lenders Direct business.
Garry Winter
Non-Executive Director
Garry has a Bachelor of Economics with an accounting qualification and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Adelaide. Garry also has a Masters of Taxation Law (ATAX) from the University of New South Wales.
Garry is a partner at Kelly & Co Lawyers in its Corporate and Commercial law section and he heads up Kelly & Co's tax law group.
Garry provides advice on a comprehensive range of taxation and commercial matters to government and semi-government organisations, public companies, and medium sized private enterprises including property owners, accountants and their clients. He also advises on the taxation and stamp duty issues arising in capital raisings and corporate mergers and acquisitions and employee share schemes for many ASX listed companies.
Garry sits on many boards and has several personal financial investments which he manages.
Ron Zucker
Non-Executive Director
Ron Zucker has over 30 years of experience in the legal profession. He is the principal of Phoenix Legal and in-house counsel to the Precision Group of Companies for whom he provides specialist advice on all day-to-day property and property finance related legal matters.
Ron holds degrees in Arts and Law and is admitted to practice as a solicitor in New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland as well as in the High Court of Australia. He is a non executive director of three Macquarie Bank securitisation vehicles and the Compliance Committee chairman for a leading real estate investment trust.
